RedLuna Dynamics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the MoodWhisper mobile application (“the App”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information in compliance with applicable laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Google Play Store policies. We adhere to “Privacy by Design” principles, minimizing data collection to what is strictly necessary for the App’s functionality, including rewarded ads and in-app purchases.
Data Collection:
We collect and process the following information to provide, improve, and monetize the App:
Transient Data (Not Stored):
-Quiz Inputs: Your answers to the four-question mood quiz (processed in real-time and discarded after use).
-Technical Identifiers: Your IP address, device type, and User-Agent (required for secure API communication, compatibility, and activity tracking).
-Authentication Tokens: Temporary OAuth tokens provided by Spotify or Apple Music to authorize your session.
Stored Data (Minimal and Necessary):
-Username and Avatar: If you choose to provide them, stored to personalize your experience and maintain your profile across sessions.
-Coin Balance: Stored to track your earned or purchased in-app coins for accessing Grok personas.
-Email Address: Stored only if you make an in-app purchase (via Google Play Billing) for verification, receipts, and support purposes.
-Device ID: Stored to associate your coin balance, username, and ad rewards with your device, preventing fraud and enabling features like ad refresh timers.
We do not collect or store your moods, playlists, or music data. All mood generation and playlist creation occurs in real-time via third-party APIs and is not retained by us.
Rewarded Ads and Monetization:
We use Google AdMob to provide optional rewarded ads, which allow you to earn in-app coins by watching a short video. When you choose to view a rewarded ad:
-Data Shared: AdMob may collect your device ID, IP address, and advertising ID to serve personalized ads and prevent abuse. This data is governed by Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
-Your Choices: Ads are optional and non-intrusive. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device settings (e.g., limit ad tracking on Android). Viewing an ad grants 5 coins, with a 24-hour cooldown per device.
-No Mandatory Ads: The App remains fully functional without viewing ads.
-For in-app purchases (coin packages), we use Google Play Billing.
Payment data is handled solely by Google and not stored by us (see Google’s privacy policy: https://payments.google.com/payments/apis-secure/get_legal_help/privacy).

Data Retention & Security:
-Transient Data: Processed in real-time and discarded immediately after use.
-Stored Data: Retained as long as your account is active or as required for legal/compliance purposes. Coin balances and profiles are deleted upon app uninstall or your request.
-Security: All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (using industry-standard protocols). We limit access to essential personnel and use Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure. However, no system is 100% secure; use the App at your own risk.
User Rights & Global Compliance:
We respect your rights under CCPA/CPRA (access, deletion, opt-out of sales, non-discrimination) and GDPR (lawful basis: consent for ads, contractual necessity for features). To exercise rights (e.g., access/delete stored data, opt-out of personalized ads), email RedLunaDynamics@gmail.com. We respond within legal timelines (e.g., 45 days under CCPA). Note: We do not “sell” data as defined under CCPA (no monetary exchange for personal information).
Children’s Privacy (COPPA): The App is for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Ads comply with COPPA by not targeting children.
Policy Changes:
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
